Our Story

The Town of Huntsville (Town) is located in the District of Muskoka with a population approaching 20,000 people. Situated adjacent to Algonquin Park and in the Heart of Muskoka, Huntsville is an active community immersed in outdoor recreation, arts and culture and the environment.

Due to the scenic beauty of the Township’s rugged landscape and extensive waterfront, Huntsville is a popular retreat for tourists and seasonal residents. A significant influx of visitors occurs during the months of May to October when the population swells from a permanent population of 20,000 to an estimated seasonal population of over 30,000.
