Our Story

The Rural Municipality (RM) of Grahamdale lies in the northwest portion of the province’s Interlake region, approximately 130 kilometers (81 miles) north-west of the City of Winnipeg. It is bounded by the shoreline of Lake Manitoba and the RM of Siglunes on the west, the RM of Fisher to the east and unincorporated land to the north. Averaging around 248 m asl (814 ff asl) in elevation, Grahamdale covers about 2,388 square kilometers (955square miles). It became a Local Government District in 1945. Incorporated in 1999, the municipality covers an area of 246,219 ha (608,161 ac or approximately 26.7 townships).
