Our Story

Located in North Simcoe, a dynamic region in central Ontario that is well positioned for investment, growth and development. It offers business and investors a strategic location, talented workforce and high value for costs. The Economic Development Corporation of North Simcoe advocates as “one voice” for the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene; and the Townships of Tay and Tiny. By collaborating and sharing information, knowledge, and partnerships, we can identify and create business cases for investments. The collaboration brings North Simcoe’s greater “critical mass” in its dealings – locally, with other levels of government, and with new business opportunities.

EDCNS focuses on four key industries – Advanced Manufacturing, Agribusiness, Healthcare, and Tourism, — which we refer to as our “four pillars”. The opportunities and regional focus in these four pillars will reinforce provincial initiatives to drive growth and improve the environment for producing and offering goods and services from North Simcoe. Through ongoing commitment and collaboration of the North Simcoe Municipalities’ “Power of Four” and our talented Board of Directors, our dedication empowers continued opportunity, growth and economic prosperity.
