Our Story

South Dundas is best known as the home of Upper Canada Village, one of Canada’s largest living historical sites.

Our community is located in Eastern Ontario, one hour south of Ottawa on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. With a steadily growing population of 10,500, South Dundas can maintain its small town character while developing to meet the needs of residents and businesses.

Brand new Medical Clinics, two shopping plazas and a professional theatre are just a few of the amenities offered in South Dundas. Recreational opportunities include 3 beaches, 5 golf courses and ample walking and cycling trails.

South Dundas is the birthplace of the McIntosh Apple and its economy is deeply rooted in agriculture. The community has a strong manufacturing sector and is home to many leading employers such as Ross Video, founded in Iroquois. The community’s strategic location is also being capitalized on by the growing logistics and warehousing industry.

We invite you to explore the possibilities in our region.
